The king of Devas

Indrajit was the son of Ravan, the brahmin king of Sri Lanka. His mother Mandodari, was the seniormost queen. Legend has it that he was a very successful warrior who invaded Swarga, defeated Indra, the king of devas. In this painting of 1905 by Raja Ravi Varma Indrajit is showing off the trophies that he captured during the conquest of Swarga.
